Installing .jad using Web browser

Over the air installation

This could be the simplest yet common way to install this type of file. All you have to do is to know where is the file is located. To install a jad file, go to the website address or URL given on your phone using the BlackBerry browser. Important! Point your browser directly to the download link. Download the file to your phone and it will install on its own. Done.

Installing without using Internet connection/ Offline

First, you need the .jad file to be downloaded somewhere else, like in your desktop. This blackberry blog has some .jad installer. Check out the Winberry 7 file for storm. Then, assuming you already have the downloaded on your PC, perform these tricks:

1. Copy the .jad file to your SD card (your phone memory card)
2. Open up your Media icon
3. Click on the menu button
4. Click ‘explore‘
5. Find your .jad file on your SD card
6. Click on the .jad file

It should do an install just like OTA (over the air). Hopefully!
Notes:  This trick will work on the 8320 and 8330, but I haven’t tested it on any other phones. If it works on other models, please let us know by leaving a comment here!

It is still all about sneaking around and avoiding alarms and police guards, except everything is round-based now to fit your bb screen.

In every turn you can choose two of six cards from your hand and at the end you draw two new one. With each card you can either take an action or walk around and crawl. Regarding the actions you have various possibilities like equipping armor, getting health, shooting, covering, and much more. Indeed Konami did a very good job by including such a range of cards, or better say actions, Snake can choose.

The enemies are mostly guards, cameras, robots, and they also use various different cards, depending on which kind of enemy he has to deal with. Because their number of actions as well as their sight is shown on the screen, you can plan your turn carefully by calculating how far they are able to move during the next turn and make sure they can not see you.
Furthermore Snake can also take some special actions he does not need cards such as kicking a guy in front of him without using a weapon.  To complete the levels you just have to sneak through, sometimes fetching a door key on your way while being ‘invincible’ to the enemies.

This game will definite consume your free, boring time that last for hours!

Vista OS theme on Bold

Looking at the home screen, the theme is really inspired by Windows 7 desktop. That is why it is called Inspirat! When you hover your trackball of your phone over the icons on the lower deck on the home screen, you can see the ‘Start’ button with the Microsoft logo on it. It is the same in the real Win. 7 taskbar.

Just click on the start button, and a tall, window will open, with list of other menus and options such as Media, profile, and Control Panel. The icons are pretty big but finished with glossy graphics that you will be amazed! It is the feeling of running Windows OS on your Blackberry phone.

Google droid theme for 8100 devices

The release of G1 using google-produced mobile operating system (OS) has created a lot of buzz

in the internet. Now, not only the HTC mobile users have the look of the simple and innocence,

nice, calm blue screen of Droid, but today, blackberry Pearl users also get the look!

The home screen is pretty naive, with a picture of a huge lake, filled with blue azure water effect, and a dock on the lower deck of your screen are all the icon folders such as SMS MMS, Contacts, Calendar, Browser and Media folder. When, the folder is highlighted,a square orange background appears at the back of the folder. So cool!

On top of the home screen, you can see the WiFi signal, battery meter and the very right hand sideshows the current time. Before this, there are other cool themes for pearl too such as IphoneClownfish theme and games like Super Mario released for Pearl users.

How to Remove The Theme:
Using the BlackBerry Application Loader from a PC.

- Plug your BlackBerry into the USB slot of the Computer
- Load up the Desktop Manager Software
- Load up the Application Loader
- Click NEXT, then NEXT
- Scroll down to the file you wish to remove and click on it
- Click on the Delete button
- Click NEXT
- Click FINISH
- Click CLOSE

First, it is important to know some difference between .alx file extension and .jad format. For .alx files, they are installer file that can be installed through your PC or Mac into your

mobile phone. Another file with .cod extension is a setting file that comes with the .alx file and must be placed in the same folder where the .alx file is. Commonly, if you are using

any kind of mobile, in this case, a Blackberry phone, you have two ways of installing themes or apps. One easy way is using a WAP Push connection, or most regularly acknowledged as

over-the-air installation. OTA is the easiest way to obtain an installer file. All you have to do is pointing your web browser URL address into the download page address. And just click

on relevant download file and follow the rest of installation guide.

For many of us, using OTA is quite difficult when the wireless internet connection is way too weak and almost no signal. Thus, this is the trick. A file extension called .alx is created to

make our life easier! Alx files are easy to find in this blackberry blog, so just download any of your interest. First, you need to have a Blackberry Desktop Manager for you BB phone.

It is free, provided by RIM and your carrier company, and please download the right version according to your OS version. For instance, if your phone OS is v4.2.0.64. To find your

Operating System (OS) details, just go to Options>About in your bb phone.

Then, visit blackberry official page, to download the Desktop Manager on your PC or Mac. Install and run it. Also, you need a sync cable to connect your phone to your PC.

Toubleshoot the phone to PC connection

Assuming that you have the Desktop Manager running, and your phone is conected to your PC via USB cable, proceed to the next Guide.

Now, make sure your BB phone is connected. Look at the “Device Connected (PIN)” and it must show some numbers next to it, such as 23FC1FD6. The PIN is unique and might

be different according to your models. If there is no connection establish, click on the “None” link, and a Settings window will pop-out.  Under connection, find the USB-PIN selection,

or if no such option, just select COM 1, and press the “Detect” button next to it. Allow it to detect you phone. And make sure your phone is turned ON. And press the red power button a few times to refresh the connection.

Proceed no Next Guide if you have the connection configured succesfully.

Proceeding, on the main program window, go to ‘Application Loader’ and click. The wizard window screen will pop-out and the program will read you phone settings for few seconds.

On the ‘Application Loader Wizard’ window, you can see all the apps that you have installer in your phone. Now, you can add and delete some programs that you want. To add new

apps or themes, click on the ‘Add’ button and browse your folder that contains the .alx and .cod file. Once selected, click ‘Open’. Then, on the window, click ‘Next’. The sceen now will

list out the programs that you want to install. Install the theme, wait few seconds until installation finish and click ‘Finish’. Now, you are done. Close the program and disconnect you bb

The last step is to find the new installed theme in your phone. Navigate to ‘Options’>’Theme’ and find your new theme there. Select it and press the BB button, and choose ‘Activate’.

AutoStandby 1.5 is a remarkable new application for BlackBerry devices which will automatically
put your device into a little advertised mode known as standby when it has gone idle for a
period of time. Unlike keylock mode, standby mode saves significant battery life by putting your
hardware into a semi-sleep state. However, you can still receive e-mails, SMS text messages,
phone calls, audio alerts, and everything else just as if your phone was on normally.

AutoStandby will also lock the keypad to prevent your BlackBerry’s screen from turning on

Circle Berry is a simple looking one, with the look of the classic ipod trackball, with all the icons and folders are in the circle. The background is black, and all the icons are white.
