Hi everyone out there! There is basically to type of installer that you have for your blackberry. One is .jad and one is .alx with .cod. Today, we are going to teach you some tips and tricks or hacks on how to install .jad file without using internet browser and with internet browser. Follow the simple instructions below:

Installing .jad using Web browser

Over the air installation

Over the air installation

This could be the simplest yet common way to install this type of file. All you have to do is to know where is the file is located. To install a jad file, go to the website address or URL given on your phone using the BlackBerry browser. Important! Point your browser directly to the download link. Download the file to your phone and it will install on its own. Done.

Installing without using Internet connection/ Offline

First, you need the .jad file to be downloaded somewhere else, like in your desktop. This blackberry blog has some .jad installer. Check out the Winberry 7 file for storm. Then, assuming you already have the downloaded on your PC, perform these tricks:

1. Copy the .jad file to your SD card (your phone memory card)
2. Open up your Media icon
3. Click on the menu button
4. Click ‘explore
5. Find your .jad file on your SD card
6. Click on the .jad file

It should do an install just like OTA (over the air). Hopefully!
Notes:  This trick will work on the 8320 and 8330, but I haven’t tested it on any other phones. If it works on other models, please let us know by leaving a comment here!

This is the installer file (.jad) which is used to install any program, games or themes to your bb device primarily using the over-the-air installation.
