Machine processor: Apple A4 1 GHz chipset
-This is the latest revelation that Steve Jobs and his team has come out with the latest processor, which the best feat is it ables to decode and
process High Definition videos (HD) without even affecting the battery life so much. Isn’t that cool?
iPad screen Display: 9.7 inches (24.6 cm) TFT LCD + IPS capability
-This is the first Apple geeky product that uses the in-plane switching (IPS) technology to provide the iPad users with better color quality,
higher resolutions and wider viewing angle. The reported resolutions are 1024×768 pixels.

How light is light?
-The iPad has defined the word light with its lightweight with just weighing 1.5 pounds (680 grams). This tablet has slimmer edges but an inch
thicker in the center, since it has a convex back, kinda like the iPhone. For the 3G version, the weight is 6.6% more from the WiFi versions.

Steve Jobs announces iPad

Connectivity: 802.11n Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth
Battery life: 10 hours approximately (claimed Steve Jobs!)
Other extra feats: Accelerometer, Speaker, Microphone, Compass

Price: Starting from $499 (RM1750)
- This apple tablet has a reasonably low price for its kind, screen size and technology, with the basic model only cost you 500 bucks, for the 16GB
model without the 3G. If you want a 3G connection, consider adding another $130 dollars (RM 450).

This month of January has hits users with the latest Google domination, the Nexus One touch-screen smart phone that has been launched from the valley search giant. The question now is: Will Google phone outdo the versatility of the famous iPhone? Here are some of the reviews that will announce who will be the winner:

Nexus One and Iphone

Click on the ‘Read More‘ button on the right side of this post to reveal who is the WINNER OF THE SMART PHONE BATTLE.

Some experts say that this Android 2.1 phone from Google is the true, cruel rival for the apple iPhone that has reached billion of dollars in sale worldwide. But there is a catch. The new phone called Nexus One provides better features such as speed improvements, higher pixel camera capibilities, and what not, you can buy the unlock version for just $529. You can’t buy the unlock version of iPhone officially, unless you do it by yourself.

By weight

This smart phone is super light in weight with just 130 grams with battery, while the iphone 3G is 133 grams and 3Gs with 135 grams. Nexus One is the winner here.

Camera Resolution

Talking about camera on phone, Google is doing something about it. Sergey and Larry puts on 5 MP camera on their latest gadget, but Steve Jobs is satisfied with his 3Gs 3 mega-pixels lens. Again, the google phone has a win. Now, 2-0. Plus, the Nexus has built-in flash which iPhone doesn’t.

Display Size

Well, you either go big or go home. With 3.7-inch diagonal touch screen and 800 x 480 screen resolutions, Nexus One wins easily, over the 3.5-inch display iPhone 3Gs, with just 480-by-320 pixels resolutions. Sorry to say, Google wins 3 against nothing from Apple so far.

Apps Store

The Android market is still new but it has attracts thousands of developers to work on its open-source Android system. While on other hands, Apple tops with more than 100,000 apps in it’s store. Google is playing catch with currently providing 15 000 to 20 000 of applications on their market. Apple is the clear cut winner as Google is still running with the baton. Google 3, Apple 1.

Developers-Friendly Phone

How friendly is Google to its programmer and apps developers compared to the iPhone Apps Store submission guidelines? Rob Enderle, principal analyst from a San Jose, Calif.-based technology research firm says Android open-source platform is very friendly to developers. An Android app developer can create an app and see it instantly available. However, Apple app developers need to get approval first, a process that takes roughly 2 weeks. Now, the lead is bigger with 4-1.

Usability and User Friendliness

We love the multi-touch ability of the iPhone, that makes the phone a unique one in this niche market. The multitouch allows users to rotate, pinch and zoom or un-zoom the display with their hands. Unfortunately, Google does not invest in multi-touch screen and it lacks the usability of it. Apple gets one point more. 4-2.

Speed Test

Google loves speed, just look at their search engine ability that delivers thousands results in miliseconds. Thus, they house Qualcomm’s latest SnapDragon processor, that makes the Nexus runs at 1GHz while the old apple walks with only 600MHz.

Do-it-Yourself Criteria

Users have better advantage when using the Nexus phone as they able to remove and replace the battery by themselves. This might not be a big deal, but for some people, it is a big deal! Apple iPhone does not allow that. You need a special kit to open the back aluminum case or spend few bucks on sending it to the shops. Poor Apple iphone..

Final Score:

NEXUS ONE 6 – 2 IPHONE

Hi there. This is a good news for all people in Malaysia and Asia regions. Nokia has announced to launch its latest Nokia 3g booklet on the local markets this coming new year of 2010.
Consumers are picking Mi-Fi as their main choice for broadband pocket device. Is there any special about this Novatel’s latest gadget? Read more..

If we are talking about the best broadband provider, who would you pick? Is it Verizon or maybe AT&T. What about Sprint? Curios huh?. Here is the thing you should know about this growing bigger network company. Travelers who need instant access have more options than ever these days but choices are aren’t always satisfactory. Sometimes, a Wi-Fi hostpot does not come into handy. A mobilebroadband with USB connectivity modem from a major carrier typically requires installing specific program which can be a pain. Also, some gadgets lack USB ports.

Novatel’s wireless Mi-Fi 2200 carries the convenience of Wi-Fi to the ubiquity of mobile broadband, side-stepping all of those issues. It needs no special software to run the wireless connection, meaning, you can connect to it just as you would to any Wi-Fi hotspots and then lets you share an account with family and friends.

Small and thin. Sleek design. That is the key of this slimmest pocket USB modem from Novatel. It is just about the size of three stacked credit cards. The Mi-Fi is a compact Wi-Fi router that derives its Internet access from a single mobile broadband account, instead of DSL or old lame cable. Just simoly turn it on within the range of 3G connectivity signal, and it automatically creates a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to five people at a time. But even if you’re flying solo on a plane, its ease of use and support for all Wi-Fi devices make it truly tempting. This is certainly one of my top gadget list of the year!

Mi-Fi does run on its own power source, giving you one more gizmo to recharge at night. At fully charged, it capables of lasting for about 4 hours, effectively, as advertised. Also,

Novatel states that this modem will ran a lot faster when multiple devices are using it for broadband access.

Sprint Network charges $60 per month for up to 5GB bandwith usage, but doesn’t offer any cheaper option than that, which make MiFi more suitable for internet addicts than occasional traveling dudes. Verizon also now using MiFi for their broadband subscribers.

Slimmest and sleek Wifi router

Summary:

Tiny device, huge performance.

The MiFi 2200 device is about the size of eight stacked credit cards and weighs just over 2 ounces, so it’s ultra-portable.

Security features include:

Password protection

VPN pass-through

CDMA authentication and identification

Dynamic Mobile IP (MIP) key update

Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) firewall

Hi there! Have any of you tasted the long-awaiting Windows new OS,which has been officially released this year. Is the Windows 7 worth of hacking and tweaking?

And how could you upgrade from Windows XP or Vista into Windows 7 without spending big, or other words, getting it for free? Here is the top hacks and tricks onhow to save money up to $100 dollars on Windows 7 Pro edition, brought to you by Geekylocker hackers..

Got curios? Continue reading…

This hack and tricks is to maximize the Home Premium Edition and faking it into “Pro Edition” with these few cheats and with help of some no-cost utilities.

Hack#1: Remote Desktop Host

In windows 7 Pro, the new OS can control another PC remotely and wirelessly. It’s perfect for telecommuters. Those, hack your Home feature into Pro just by using a freeware

and free tool called Ultra VNC. This program, Ultra VNC accomplishes the same result which is to take control your PC at distant, remotely, offering several connection options

and easy file transfers. Also, this cool free remote hosting tool can encrypt data passing between two PCs securely!

Hack#2: Encrypting File Transfer System

It is highly important to have a secure encryption of data transfers in our PC. Thus, Windows OS 7 done a good job in encrypting and protecting sensitive files effortlessly, with just few clicks you can prevent anyone lacking an encryption key- except maybe a system administrator – from reading your files.

Thus, to perform this second hack, you can try to download a freeware, open source called TrueCrypt. This highly recommended file encryptor is one of the best program written so far, to upgrade your Home into Pro edition, with buying expensive licensing upgrade. Download TrueCrypt Setup 6.3.exe now to keep your data encrypted!

Hack#3: Windows XP Mode in Win 7 Pro’s Virtual PC

Too good to be true, Win 7 users don’t need to own an existing copy of Win XP to make use of Pro’s XP mode. They can easily download a working version of the legacy OS from Microsoft official site. Plug this into Windows 7 Virtual PC program, and you will have a perfect version of the older operating system running right on your Win 7 desktop.

Easy hack huh? Another tricks is to mimic XP mode with the open source app called Virtual Box. In order to use Virtual Box, you need a full, paid copy of Win XP. Only Win 7

Pro users get their virtual XP for free, not for Home edition users. Sorry about that! However, since this hack has taught you this third trick, you can just install even older

Windows OS versions with Virtual Box. This tool also ideal for playing with older operating systems sans partitioning and reinstalling. To perform this top hack, install VirtualBox 3.0.8 for Windows hosts

Stay reading next time for next tips and tweaks from Geekylocker! Walla..
