Windows 7 lacks the bundled with Vista apps such as Windows Mail, Movie Maker and Photo Gallery. Microsoft offers newer and supposedly better versions of these programs for free of charge at Win. Live Essentials download site. Thus, go to the download windows program free site and get your bundled software there!
Bring Favorite Programs Back to Start Menu
One good thing about Vista is you can have your list of favorite items or programs on the left pane of the start menu. The bad thing of windows 7 is it lists only the recently opened programs. To restore the favorite list, click All programs, then drag a favorite program that you prefer to the Back link at the bottom of the panel. Hold it there until the recent list appears, and drop it at the top of the list, if you want it to the the top list application.
Pick your Favorite Folders and Remove the Default Ones
If you are viewing a folder that you always visit, frequently, right click on Favorites in the left pane and choose Add current location to Favorite. Easy tweaks! When you go to the Favorites list, if it is too long, right click an item you don’t want it to be a favorite program or folder, and select Remove. Don’t worry, it would not remove or delete the program or folder permanently on your PC, but rather remove it virtually from your sight in the Favorite list.
